Defensive Handgun
The Defensive Handgun series begins where your concealed firearms permit training ends. Divided into three levels, the Defensive Handgun series is designed to teach skills that could possibly save ones life when confronted with a lethal force scenario. Courses are 3-4 hours in length to accommodate busy schedules. Topics covered include: safety, proper selection of self defense firearm and gear, principles of marksmanship, firearm manipulations, firearm malfunction clearances, combat mindset, low light shooting, applying shooting skills in a home defense environment, and more!

Armorer's Courses
American Shooters hosts a number of armorer's programs from leading manufacturers. All offerings are manufacturer certified and graduates will receive an armorer's certification and credentials.

IPSC/IDPA/ 3 Gun Competition Courses
As proud supporters of the shooting sports, American Shooters now offers courses for the novice and experienced competition shooter. Our staff of competition shooting instructors will guide you through fast paced course topics such as introduction to the shooting sports, training competition skill sets, fast and efficient gun handling, stage breakdown and strategy, fluid dynamic movement, and developing a training regimen. American Shooters also offers skills clinics and in-house competitions.

Low Light / No Light Shooting Clinics
Seventy percent of all lethal force encounters happen in low light or darkness. This course will focus upon the techniques used for the deployment and utilization of your firearm and flashlight in a low light scenario. Topics covered include: physical visual acuity at night, target identification, flashlight deployment techniques, firearm manipulations with a flashlight, and low light shoot/ no shoot scenarios.

Defensive Tactics
Geared toward the security professional, the course focuses on hand to hand skills, handcuffing techniques, and baton use.

Subject Matter Expert Seminars
American Shooters will host SME's from various fields of expertise to talk about their experience, give shooting seminars, and provide gear/ product clinics. Stay tuned for a list of upcoming SME events.
